Momo ko Achar

Momo is eaten with momo ko achar. Achar is a type of spicy sauce. Generally momo achar is made of tomato mixed with sesame. Sesame is called teel in Nepali. Momo is eaten hot and achar is kept cold, hence the combination give neutral temperature while eating. 














 

How to Make Momo Cha ko achar (Dumpling sauce) 


Momo ko Achar

 
Utensils
 
Bowls -2 
Grinder 
Pan (optional)
 
Ingredients
  
Tomatoes - 2 big
Sesame seed (teel) - 3 table spoon
Red Chilies dried - 6
Garlic - 2 pieces
Coriander – 3 leaves 
Salt for taste
 
Method
 
Heat the sesame seed in micro wave/frying pan for about 1 minute
 
Wash and take two tomatoes in a bowl (without adding any water) 
and keep it in microwave/on stove for about 1 minute.(गोल्भेडा पोल्ने)
 
Keep the six pieces of red chilies on top of the stove and let it heat 
for few minutes. (खुर्सानी पोल्ने)
 
Grind the sesame seed in the grinder add red chilies, garlic salt, 
coriander and the tomato together and grind it again to get a 
good paste
 
Your Momo ko achar is ready to serve with hot momo.
