Pakauda
Nepali Vegetable Pakoda (Fired Vegetable Snacks)
Ingredients
Chickpea flour (Besan) 1/2 cup
(Use Chickpea flour for Best Result, unless use all-purpose flour adding turmeric to turn yellow)
Water (add more as needed) -2/3 cup
![]() Baking powder -1/2 tablespoon
Red Chili powder- 1/4 table spoon
Cumin Powder1/2 table spoon
Small onion chopped -1
Potato big-1
Oil- 2 cups
A few Spinach leaves
Salt to taste
Method
Beat Chickpea flour (Besan) in water until it becomes a thick batter
Set it aside for about 15 minutes
Add salt, cumin powder, chili powder and baking powder to the batter and beat the mixture again
Slice onion and potatoes
Mix well
Add spinach leave
In a deep pan heat oil in medium heat
Dip the vegetables in the batter and deep fry till golden brown
Serve hot with Achar or sauce...!!!
