How to make Aalu Roti Aloo Parautha Utensils ![]() Big bowl to make the dough Nonstick pan or tawa Pressure cooker or a pan (to boil aalu, you can boil it in microwave too) Bowl to mix aalu Ingredients Whole wheat flour -3 cups Potato -3 to 4 Green chili – 1 Coriander leaf chopped - 2 table spoon Onion finely chopped – half cup Turmeric powder– one fourth teaspoon Salt - as you taste Red chili powder- hot as you taste Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder – 1 tea spoon Method Make dough like you make while making Roti Boil potatoes in pressure cooker or a pan When potatoes are boiled mash (crush) it with masher or your hand Add all the ingredients including onion (green chili, salt, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chili powder into mashed potato Taste the potato yourself for spices Take small portions of dough and make balls of desired shapes Make some space in the middle of the dough and add one teaspoon of potato mixture Roll the dough (as you make roti) so that the potato ingredients are rolled inside the roti Heat the pan and cook the roti as you cook simple roti adding some Ghee to it. Aalu roti or Parautha is ready to serve. Aalu roti is always good to eat with mango achar, lapsi ko achar and dhaniya ko achar or traditional nepali roasted (poleko) Tomato (golbheda) ko achar. |
